BIOGRAPHY

DR. BABAGANA AHMADU

Dr. Babagana Ahmadu assumed duties as Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations to Namibia in September 2013. Prior to that, Dr. Ahmadu was the FAO Representative to the Republic of The Gambia. Dr. Ahmadu is a Veterinarian by academic training with 25 years of extensive experience in various aspects of Veterinary work in
many institutions and countries across Africa including Zambia, Botswana, Ethiopia, Gambia and his native country Nigeria. He extensively published scholarly and Scientific articles on many aspects of Veterinary Medicine in Africa. Prior to joining the FAO, Dr. Ahmadu was the Director for the Department of Rural Economy and Agriculture in the African Union Commission in Ethiopia.
